It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of one of the stalwarts of the Bird Report and fantastic birder, Barry McCarthy. Regularly seen patrolling Marshside, his knowledge of the birds of the Sefton Coast and places further afield was considerable. His funeral will be held at Southport Crematorium on Tuesday 4th Feb 12:40pm and our heartfelt condolences are sent to his family and friends.
